By factory design, E1000 can't be configured as a repeater - bridge. Other ways to do it is to load a 3rd party firmware like DD-WRT, Tomato, etc. so that it can be configured as a client/repeater - bridge. But this method is too risky - aside from reconfiguration, there's a big risk of bricking the router. Here's an article from DD-WRT wiki.
