On the WAN side if you set it to Cloudflare and set your clients to point to your router in DHCP then all of your clients and your router are technically still using Cloudflare.. it'll just look like the DNS for your clients is 192.168.1.1, but when the requests hit your router, your router forwards them on to whatever your upstream provider is

I have been having intermittent service from homekit and was told by Lutron that is probabaly because my R6300 has DHCP turned on and that this is conflicting with the DHCP server on the main modem and router. I went into the settings and turned off DHCP on the Netgear but then I coudn't connect to the internet wirelessly on any devices.
